OpenVPN Security Certificate Maintenance

Scheduled for May 11, 07:00 - 11:00 UTC

Scheduled

As part of our ongoing security maintenance, we are renewing the security certificates used for OpenVPN Cloud Connect. This requires a brief service interruption and an update to your OpenVPN client configuration. Please note that device connectivity will not be affected during this process.
----
What is happening

On May 11, 2026, we will deploy updated security certificates to all OpenVPN regions. During this maintenance window, OpenVPN services will be briefly unavailable while servers are restarted. We expect the interruption to last only a few minutes per region.

Starting June 9, 2026, we will roll out the new server certificates region by region. From that date onward, any OpenVPN client configuration that has not been updated will no longer be able to connect.
----
What you need to do

After May 11, please re-download your OpenVPN client configuration from the emnify portal:

Log in to the emnify portal
Navigate to Integrations → Secure Connection → OpenVPN
Select your operating system and region
Download and replace your existing .ovpn or .conf file

Deadline: June 9, 2026. Configurations that have not been updated by this date will lose OpenVPN connectivity as regions are migrated.
